Private (Business) Law (Master’s Program)

The program prepares competitive specialists in the field of private (business) law who will possess in-depth knowledge of contemporary trends, challenges, and issues. Graduates will be able to independently determine effective ways of solving complex problems, develop original legal conclusions, and participate in the development of professional knowledge while adhering to ethical norms.

The program offers students an in-depth study of private (business) law, taking into account contemporary trends and challenges. Developing skills for independently determining effective ways to solve complex problems in private law, legal analysis, and formulating conclusions significantly increases graduates' competitiveness in the job market.

The program's diversified structure, which encompasses corporate law, financial law, and international and comparative private law blocks, enables students to acquire specialized knowledge in areas of interest to them.

Practical Component

The program also includes a mediation block (module), which allows students to acquire alternative dispute resolution skills that are increasingly in demand in the professional sphere. The practical component (12 credits) included in the program enables students to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world situations, thereby increasing their employment opportunities.

International Opportunities

The School actively collaborates with international universities through the ERASMUS+ exchange programs, as well as with local companies regarding student internships and employment. Students participate in moot courts, conferences, olympiads, and seasonal schools at both local and international levels, significantly contributing to the development of their professional skills.

Employment Opportunities

Graduates can be employed:

  • In relevant public sector positions
  • In the private sector
  • In law firms, particularly in business law practice
  • To work as a judge, graduates must satisfy the requirements established by legislation

Program graduates can also continue their studies at the doctoral level.

Students eligible for the program are those who hold a Bachelor’s degree in Law.

Individuals who have passed the corresponding general master’s examination and will pass internal university examinations (examination type — written examination) are eligible for the master’s program studies:

  • Written examination in specialization (case study, essay) — Private Law (60%)
  • English examination B2 level (40%)

The master’s program comprises 120 credits, with the following distribution:

  • 84 credits — Mandatory component, including: 
    1. 30 credits — Master’s thesis
    2. 6 credits — Academic writing for lawyers
    3. 12 credits — Practical component
  • 36 credits — Elective and free components

The program is divided into three blocks:

  1. Corporate Law block
  2. Financial Law block
  3. International and Comparative Private Law block

The program also includes a mediation block (module). If students choose this option, they must complete 5 courses from the mediation module and one elective law course.
