The Bachelor’s Program in Management equips students with fundamental knowledge in organizational management while developing practical skills, teaching entrepreneurship principles, and covering business ethics. Students learn to identify solutions to business challenges through critical and innovative thinking. The program emphasizes transferable skills, including argumentation, quantitative reasoning, communication in Georgian and English, and academic capabilities.

About the Program

The Bachelor’s Program in Management aims to prepare competent specialists for managerial positions in a rapidly growing and competitive business environment. These specialists will be equipped with fundamental knowledge and skills related to organizational management, master entrepreneurship principles, and be able to identify solutions to business challenges based on critical and innovative thinking. The program creates a foundation for graduates’ successful careers and/or continuing education at the next level. Students can participate in practical activities, through which they refine professional skills and learn business ethics. The program allows students to broaden their intellectual perspective.

The Bachelor’s Program in Management has been operating since 2011, underwent reaccreditation in 2025, and is periodically updated to reflect field trends.

Practical Skills Development

The program ensures the development of students' practical and transferable skills through both corresponding individual practical components and practical work and assignments embedded in courses. Notable is collaboration with Ilia State University's entrepreneurial ecosystem supporting structures (Tech Entrepreneurship and Innovation Development Center, pre-accelerator Zoom-out, Entrepreneurial Innovation Laboratory Fab Lab, and university representation of Startup Grind), which allows students to turn innovative ideas into reality with the help of qualified personnel and modern equipment. The program also incorporates research institutes at Ilia State University (Business Research Center) and partner organizations to enhance practical skills development.

International Opportunities

The opportunity to participate in international exchange programs (e.g., Erasmus+) creates a foundation for gaining global education and experience, which subsequently helps students secure competitive advantages in both local and global markets.

Opportunity to Choose Additional Specialization (Minor Program)

Students can choose an additional specialization (minor) in various fields starting from the third semester of study, or, according to their interests, take courses offered in other bachelor's programs, provided they total 60 credits.

Employment Opportunities

Graduates of Ilia State University's Bachelor's Program "Management (Major Specialization)" can be employed in various managerial positions at entry and mid-level in the private or public sectors. They will also have the opportunity to continue their studies at the next level of higher education - in master's programs.

To enroll in the Bachelor’s Program in Management, candidates must have passed the Unified National Examinations as required by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of Georgia.

Brief Description of Program Structure

  • Qualification to be awarded – Bachelor of Business Administration in Management

  • Program duration – 8 semesters (4 years)
  • Number of credits to be accumulated – 240 ECTS

To obtain a bachelor’s degree, students must accumulate 240 credits, distributed as follows:

  1. Major Field of Study (120 credits)
    • Management program mandatory courses – 102 credits
    • Management program elective courses – 18 credits
  2. Free Component: General Module (60 credits)
  3. Additional Program / Free Component (60 credits)
    • Students can choose an additional specialization (minor) starting from the third semester or take various educational components offered in different bachelor’s programs, totaling 60 credits.
