Healthcare Policy and Management is a contemporary and demand-oriented master’s program at Ilia State University, focused on preparing future leaders and managers. The program responds to rapidly changing challenges in the healthcare sector and provides students with the skills and knowledge necessary for implementing effective changes.
The program combines theoretical foundations, research skills, and practical experience. Graduates will be prepared to solve problems in healthcare systems, plan and implement strategic initiatives in both public and private sectors – locally and internationally.

The program is led by leading Georgian scientists and practicing managers in the field. The academic team combines specialists with theoretical and practical knowledge, ensuring a high-quality educational process. Additionally, guest lecturers with international experience periodically participate in teaching.
The program collaborates with both local and international organizations. Partner organizations include: "Irao", "Global Benefits Georgia", "PSP Insurance", "Medical Card", "Medcapital", "ACT", and others. Students have the opportunity to complete internships and training at these organizations, providing them with real work experience and contacts necessary for professional development.
Teaching methods include lectures, seminars, case analysis, project work, simulations, and role-playing games. This contributes to the development of students' critical thinking and management skills.
Students have access to the university library and international scientific databases. Electronic platforms are also available, including "Argus", "Turnitin", and "E-learning", which make the learning process technologically accessible and flexible.
The program ensures the development of students' practical and transferable skills through practical work and assignments embedded in relevant courses. Additionally, for the purpose of developing useful skills, the program includes both research institutes based at Ilia State University (Business Research Center) and partner organizations with which appropriate memoranda have been signed.

Admission to the master’s educational program “Healthcare Policy and Management” is based on general master’s examination results and internal university examinations.
Applicants who have obtained a bachelor’s degree in any field (preferably, but not mandatory – 0412 Finance, Banking and Insurance/0413 Management and Administration/0414 Marketing and Advertising/0311 Economics/091 Healthcare fields) and possess English language skills (reading ability) at a minimum B2 level are admitted to the program.

Within the Healthcare Policy and Management master’s program, students must accumulate a total of 120 credits/ECTS to obtain the qualification.
