Students eligible for the program are those who hold a Bachelor’s degree in Law.

Individuals who have passed the corresponding general master’s examination and will pass internal university examinations (examination type – written examination) are eligible for the master’s program studies:

  • Written examination in specialization – Criminal Law (60%)
  • English examination B2 level (40%)

The educational program components are distributed as follows:

  • 54 credits – Criminal Law specialization (field-specific) mandatory courses (including 18 credits – practical component, 6 credits – academic writing for lawyers)
  • 24 credits – Criminal Law specialization (field-specific) elective courses
  • 12 credits – Free component (students may choose any course offered by Ilia State University master’s programs)
  • 30 credits – Master’s thesis
